An a bit roughed up Mr. Handy robot

Allgemeines und Vorkriegsgeschichte:

The Mr. Handy series of household robots was mass-produced before the Great War by RobCo Industries in cooperation with General Atomics International. Equipped with a long-lasting nuclear fusion battery and multiple arms, the Mr. Handy units proved themselves wonderfully during rescue operations in Mexico City after the major earthquake there in 2042. However, RobCo and General Atomics did not just design and market the Mr. Handy for emergencies or government use. The Mr. Handy robot was also purchased by many civilians and companies that needed a reliable, always-ready helper.

After several experimental versions with various trial features — such as up to 8 arms — and, of course, after extensive consumer surveys and market analysis, a final version was agreed upon. This Mr. Handy model was powered by a long-lasting internal fusion battery, hovered about half a meter above the ground thanks to a powerful propulsion nozzle, and had three arms extending from the torso, as well as three sensor packages protruding from the "head," i.e., the main casing.

The Mr. Handy robot was produced over half a million times and is among the most commonly found robots.

Around 2060, the U.S. Department of Defense requested a specialized version for their unique needs. This led to the development of the Mr. Gutsy. It is somewhat stronger, more durable, significantly more combat-ready, and nearly as fast and agile as the Mr. Handy. Additionally, it features different software and thus different skill sets.

The stats of these robots:

Mr. Handy:

STrength PErception ENdurance CHarisma INtelligence AGility LUck COurage
6 7 4 1 7 8 5 3

Mr. Gutsy:

STrength PErception ENdurance CHarisma INtelligence AGility LUck COurage
7 7 6 1 6 7 5 6

The stats explained:

Strength: For Mr. Handy/Mr. Gutsy robots, Strength indicates carrying capacity. Each point of ST allows a robot to carry 50 pounds.

Perception: Like with humans, this indicates how far a robot can "see" or "hear." Mr. Handy and Mr. Gutsy robots have more sensors than humans and nearly 360° vision.

Endurance: Despite their long-lasting power cells, these robots still need to recharge occasionally. Endurance reflects the number of weeks a robot can operate on a single charge.

Charisma:Like all robots, they have a Charisma value of 1. Robots have no charm, don’t understand the concept of bartering, and are not particularly sociable. They simply follow programming.

Intelligence: Indicates how "clever" the robot is. A more intelligent robot is harder to hack and better at adapting to new situations.

Agility: As with animals, Agility corresponds 1:1 with Action Points.

Luck: Set to 5 for all robots. This gives each robot the same chance of scoring a critical hit.

Courage: This value roughly indicates when a robot will retreat for self-preservation. It ranges between 1 and 10 for all robots and can be tested with a D10.

The skills of Mr. Handy and Mr. Gutsy robots:

Unlike animals, robots actually have skills. But unlike humans, they have only a very limited, model-specific set of skills with fixed values that never change.

The skills and their values for Mr. Handy robots are::

Unarmed: 45
Melee weapons: 75
Handguns: 60
First aid: 50
Repairing (mechanics): 55
Repairing (electronics): 65

Mr. Handy robots have 67 hit points.

The skills and their values for Mr. Gutsy robots are:

Unarmed: 60
Melee weapons: 75
Handguns: 75
First aid: 60

Mr. Gutsy Robots have 82 hit points.

Mr. Handys and Mr. Gutsys in combat:

Basically these robots have three arms at which they have a differnt weapon each.

Mr. Handys and Mr. Gutsys have the following hit zones for aimedattacks with the following difficulties:

Main casing (unaimed hit): 0 points difficulty
Left arm (buzz saw): 15 points difficulty
Middle arm (Manipulator): 15 points difficulty
Right arm (Energiewaffe): 15 points difficulty
Propulsion nozzle: 25 points difficulty
Each of the three sensor packs: 45 points difficulty

Left arm: Buzzsaw: The buzzsaw of the Mr. Handys/Mr. Gutsys has two attacks:
Swing: 2 D6 + 7 for 3 AP
Thrust: 1 D6 + 11 for 4 AP

Middle arm: Manipulator: The manipulator can hit. This does the following damage:
1 D3 + 9 for 3 AP

Right arm: Energy weapon: Here there is a difference between the models. Handys have a light laser weapon, while Gutsys were built with a much stronger plasma weapon.

The laser of the Mr. Handy:

Maximal range: 50 cm.

Range division:

CQC: 0 - 10 cm: + 10 points to handguns
Close range: 11 - 20 cm: + 5 points to handguns
Middle range: 21 - 30 cm: No adjustment
Far range: 31 - 40 cm: - 5 points to handguns
Extreme range: 41 - 50 cm: - 10 points to handguns

Damage: 3 D6 + 3 Laser damage

AP-costs:

4 for a common shot
5 for an aimed shot

The plasma weapon of the Mr. Gutsy:

Maximal range: 50 cm.

Range division:

CQC: 0 - 10 cm: + 10 points to handguns
Close range: 11 - 20 cm: + 5 points to handguns
Middle range: 21 - 30 cm: No adjustment
Far range: 31 - 40 cm: - 5 points to handguns
Extreme range: 41 - 50 cm: - 10 points to handguns

Damage: 3 D6 + 12 plasma damage

AP-costs:

4 for a common shot
5 for an aimed shot

Despite their propulsion nozzle, these robots are a bit slow. They move for 2.5 cm per action point.

If one hits a Mr. Handy/Gutsy unaimed but critically, the exact location of the hit is decided with a D10:

1 – 3 = Main casing
4 = buzz saw arm (left arm)
5 = Manipulator arm (middle arm)
6 = Laser weapon arm (right arm)
7 = Propulsion nozzle
8 – 10 = Sensors

Critical hits on the main casing do triple damage.
Critical hits on the arms disable the corresponding weapon (until it is repaired).
Critical hits on the propulsion nozzle and the Handy/Gutsy crashes to the floor. It can still defend itself, as long as no arm is disabled, but it remains stationary.
Critical hits on the sensors and the combat skills reduce themselves by 1/3. Are all sensors disabled, the robot remains stationary.

Apart from critical hits to the main casing, all other critical hits do double damage and ignore armor.

Armor rating of these robots:

Mr. Handy: Mr. Gutsy:
Normal damage: 9 11
Laser 5 6
Fire 3 2
Plasma 2 1
Explosions 9 11
Electrical 2 3
